Dawn Cain

Dr. Dawn Cain has been the Curator of BMO Financial Group’s Corporate Art Collection since 2002. An Adjunct Professor of Art History at the University of Toronto from 1997-2006, Cain is the former Curator of the Malcove Collection at the University of Toronto Art Centre (2002 to 2006). When she is not at BMO, Dawn researches, lectures and writes in her areas of interest. Her current project, with colleague Elisa Coish, is a documentary film and biographical text about Dr. Lillian Malcove, a Freudian psychoanalyst and art collector of significance, who was raised in Canada and lived in New York from the 1920s to the early 1980s.

Elisa Coish

Elisa Coish is presently the Curatorial Associate for BMO Financial Group’s Corporate Art Collection. A graduate of the University of Toronto with a BA (Hons) in Art History and Cinema Studies, Coish was the Curatorial Assistant for the Malcove Collection at the University of Toronto Art Centre from 2004 to 2007. During those years Elisa also worked as an independent contractor for various art collections in Toronto, including the Gardiner Ceramic Museum. In her “spare time” Elisa plays guitar in a rock band and dedicates countless hours, with colleague Dawn Cain, to researching, interviewing, and filming subjects for the Lillian Malcove Biography Project.
